Historical research and intelligence analysis provide the backbone of our contextual work on anomalous cases. Field data alone rarely tells the full story of a location; we want to know who lived there, what happened there, and how the environment has changed over time.

We examine property histories, deeds, and tax maps to understand how a site evolved. Public records and archival documents-newspaper reports, court filings, obituaries, land-use records-help us identify prior incidents such as accidents, crimes, industrial use, or structural changes that can influence both phenomena and perception. When appropriate, we incorporate government records and formal requests for information to clarify key events or timelines.

We treat this as an OSINT-driven intelligence project: multiple open sources are cross-referenced, inconsistencies are flagged, and all relevant findings are summarized in clear language. This context allows us to distinguish folklore from documented fact and to interpret reported experiences within a verifiable historical and environmental framework.
